Yesterday was a pretty eventful day, but it ended in the best way(s) possible: a snowball fight: Danny and me against my parents, building a snowman with Danny, baking yummy peanut butter cookies and hanging with 2 of my best gurlfriends, listening to a hundred different versions of "Last Christmas" and then when I got home I watched a very fitting movie and talked to two of my favorite people until I fell asleep. I just realized "eventful" is not the right word but I can't think of what the right word would be

Edwin Black has all this proof that IBM, Rockefeller, some business in Virginia, etc. helped give Hitler the idea of eliminating all people that were not Aryan/funded the Holocaust/helped him locate all the Jews in Germany and Europe. I'm not sure if the old man was for Hitler or America but he was completely against this guy and it got pretty juicy

I SAW ELIE WIESEL TONIGHT AND HE WAS SO WONDERFUL. SUCH A WONDERFUL MAN. SO SMART, KIND AND GIVING, CONFIDENT BUT HUMBLE AND SO SO CUTE!! (IS IT POSSIBLE TO FIND MYSELF ONE OF THOSE??) TICKETS TO HEAR HIM SPEAK HAVE BEEN SOLD OUT FOR 3 WEEKS BUT KEEK RORY AND I WERE LUCKY ENOUGH TO GET OUR HANDS ON SOME LAST MONTH. SO GLAD. THE NEXT 2 DAYS I WILL BE SUPER BUSY WITH SCHOOL BUT I'M HAPPY WITH PRETTY MUCH ANYTHING THAT WILL KEEP ME OCCUPIED AT THIS POINT. Every time I see a crinkled up leaf in the road I think it's a frog and I'm about to run it over so I swerve. Seriously, everyday. So my schedule for next semester is completed. I'm seeing how I like night classes this semester, hopefully I don't regret taking them but I think I'll be fine. Wish I could fit Yoga in but I'll save that for next semester

So it's November... which means it's almost December which means it's almost a new year. Wow weird. 2010, huh? I think I've said this about the past 2 or 3 years, but this past year has really been the best year yet. I may have said that all those other years, but it was always for a different reason. Like "I started taking more responsibility for my own actions" or "I changed this really bad thing about myself" or "I finally got this really crappy person out of my life" or I think this past year it was "I'm doing exactly what I want to do. I'm HAPPY." I always came up with one reason or another to be proud of myself
Some reasons this past year has been the best year ever are: my dad and grandfather MADE UP!!!! I honestly never thought I would see the day. I still don't like seeing his wife at my house and it's something I refuse to ever get used to, but whatever. Next: I KEPT A BOYFRIEND FOR A WHOLE YEAR. No breaking up every other week, like have actually been dating since December. And I guess attached to that would be "fell in love." Real love. And I deserve it after all the crappy boy stuff I've dealt with. I turned 18 this year, and although there was no drastic change with the way my father reacts to my staying out or any of that, I'm ALLOWED to not listen. I never take it too far, but knowing I have the option to makes me feel a teensy bit better. I started college and have really been impressing myself. I have great grades and even though some weeks I'm loaded up with work, I don't hate it. Being busy and keeping occupied is a good thing most of the time, isn't it? I have met so many new people this year. I have made so many new friends. I've "lost" a few as well, but I know the ones that I need will always be there for me
A year ago today, I definitely would not have pictured myself where I am today. I could never have predicted or even imagined how well this year turned out. And it's always like that, and it's wonderful. I'm so excited to see what this next year has in store for me (I think)

I walked into the Commons to eat my lunch today and Jerry Springer was on, on full volume, with literally every chair turned toward the TV and everyone ooooo-ing. (it was funny) I'm feeling very confident about the Algebra exam I took today. More confident than I've felt about anything in that class, actually haha umm I straightened my hair last night to really see how long it's gotten............about 2 more inches until chop off time

I think I've really turned into one of those people that look forward to going to school. I like reading 5 books a month... I like writing 1 or 2 or 3 papers every week?? I like doing so many math problems that I can explain how to do them forwards and backwards????!! I never thought that after being a senior at Valley West, just 5 weeks of classes would transform me into a real student. The thing I like most about school though, is keeping busy. I've always liked keeping busy but now I can CHOOSE what I wanna be busy doing. I don't really interact with too many people in my classes, but that doesn't bother me. I'm so excited to pick my classes for next semester already!! So I went to Philly this past weekend, got to see BRI BRI AAAND MARISSA........and then I got "swine flu" or that's what everyone thinks at least. I've had no voice the past 2 days but I feel so much better now. Tonight I got Matt to watch Obsessed which I've been trying to do for quite a while.....he's the best boyfriend ever actually

I wanna cry sometimes, thinking about how excited I am for the future. I got a 6/6 on the first quiz of my college career woo! I've moved up in rank at Lino's (haha) and receive .75 more an hour! I quit the bank job......ever since that incident when I thought my boss died in my arms, I've felt a little uneasy every time I took a step into that office. Plus, a lady that recently got laid off from her job is going to work in my place and he's giving her a bunch of extra work so he can pay her more $$$ and I'm very happy about that. My dad and I have been battling about me staying out later ever since I turned 18, but I don't think he'll ever stop with those "I can't accept that my daughter isn't my 4 year old baby anymore" things. My relationship with my mom has been better than ever (knock on wood). We're more on the same level than we ever have been and she's been a lot better with not taking my dad's side on everything. Matt and I are also doing great (knock on wood again) and hopefully things will stay the way they are through this whole semester and after this one I think the rest will be a piece of cake. My grandpa has been coming over with his family pretty much every week and it's so nice, seeing him and my dad together. Gram would be happy. I'm happy

It's so hot in my house at night, I'm dying right now. And the heat from my laptop isn't helping. I'm listening to Agent and eating a peach and Matt's talking to me about Russian prison tattoos and now he's bummed because my dad's tattoo is green and not blue. I went to the beach this past Monday. The ocean felt so good and those were some of my favorite days of the summer. I loved the zoo and mini golfing and the Pink Cadillac Diner and the awesome Oreo milkshake I had and not having to rush anywhere and the movie Wild at Heart is very strange. Back to school on Monday. Things are changing, but hopefully for the better
